Some Good-times in January

Righty OR...

Lefty?? Hmmm sometimes I wonder if she is right or left handed. Maybe she will be ambidextrous like her grandpa Al and Grandpa Jimmy? Im always pushing her to use her right hand but that left one comes into action almost every time

Allie noticed a sweet red pepper (what she refered to as an apple:) on the kitchen counter... i gave her a little taste and with her enthusiastic Mmmmmm, I put her in her chair and just had to take some pics! she is definitely not a picky eater - at all!

really going to town on this pepper. each bite was accommodated with a Mmmm! lol
Shortly after this pic (with her wild hair:) I took it away. I didnt want her to get a belly ache - and no she didnt eat all of that pepper:)

1-12-2011 Allison's hair is getting long enough to gather it all into a ponytail! When she is well rested and in a good mood, she loves her momma to style her hair in different ways. - We still havent cut her hair

Jackson's 1 Year (Green Bay Packer Theme) Bday Party

In this pic: Uncle Charlie (Jacksons grmpa), Jackson on my cousin Mindy's lap, Brady, Allie, and Carter. Allie had no choice but to play with all boys at this party. The only one she didnt see eye to eye with was Jackson. lol I think its because Jackson prefers to crawl, and she was thinking that he was pretending to be a puppy and was going to get her. Who knows... but she freaked when he started crawling towards her with a big smile on his face.
Carter and Allie - They were playing "Ring a round the Rosie" over and over again, but when I took this picture, Allie decided that she had enough (probably was getting dizzy:) and Carter was so upset that she didnt want to play with him anymore. It was really cute

A little winter fun!

It has been so cold out lately but this day we were able to go outside and play for about an hour. Allie enjoyed playing on our neighbors jungle-gym swing set and being pulled in the her sled, allot.- I tried downloading a video of her dad pulling her in the sled. not sure if it will download though. - She also liked to eat the fresh fluffy snow. -The only problem with her eating the snow is that there is allot of yellow snow in our yard and the neighbors yard. This is due to us having a male Lab and our neighbor also has a male lab. they are constantly marking there territory. Seriously, If I were to leave Allie's sled outside the neighbor dog would mark it! - YUCK - Anyway, It just so happens that Allie has been learning colors and the color yellow is one of Allie's favorites, so, I had to point out that the yellow snow is yucky and shockingly she stayed away from it. lol

The last couple weeks Allie has been into putting on hats and headbands. The hat above, was her favorite, on this day. She just had to eat with it on. what a goof!!

Little Angel, Lauren Jean

To my little angel-neice, Lauren Jean

I tried writing a poem for you, but I realized that I am not a poet:) With many tears shed, I did however, find a poem. It's called Little Snowdrop

Little Snowdrop

The world may never notice If a snowdrop doesn't bloom,

Or even pause to wonder If the petals fall too soon.

But every life that ever forms, Or ever comes to be,

Touches the world in some small way For all eternity.

The little one we long for Was swiftly here and gone.

But the love that was then planted Is a light that still shines on.

And though our arms are empty, Our hearts know what to do

Every beating of our hearts Says that we love you.

love you Lauren. You will always be with us in our hearts

Play Date with Jackson

Jan. 5, 2011

My cousin Kristi had off work this last wed. so we decided to arrange a little play date on this day. ... At first Jackson was a little shy, but it didnt take him long to come out of his shell:) The kids played well together. I was kind of worried how Allie was going to behave with only having a half hour nap, but she did pretty well for most of our time spent there... About a half hour before we left, Kristi witnessed Allie's crazy-tired attitude/actions! She was hitting mama and slapping herself and then she tried to bite my shoulder (think she takes after her uncle Josh - he use to bite when he was this age:). YA! that called for a "Time-Out" and she didnt like that one bit. lol

Anyway, before her melt-down, Allie noticed that Jackson had a pretty cool battery operated car, and Jackson, so seemed, as though he wanted to show it off! He was so funny. I ended-up getting some of this on video and posted the video below:) When you play the video try and listen to his little chipmunk laugh.

Christmas

Christmas Eve - We went to 3:30 church service and then back home afterwards, so Allie could take her afternoon nap. We went to my aunt and uncles around 7:00, that evening, and Allie was really good the whole time, but she still was not quite into opening gifts.
Cousin Samantha helping Allie open a gift from her godmother, Brooke.
Sometime during the night someone found some little santa hats and put one on Allie. She kept it on for about a half hour or so! lol

Christmas Day! - I didnt take that many pictures on Christmas Day because I had my video camera recording alot... but I did get some pics of Uncle Josh giving Allison her first taste of soda (Sierra Mist) at Mee-maw and Papa Jimmy's

Allie received alot of nice gifts. snow boots, mittens, lots of books, a Play School dance cam (to watch her dance moves on the tv screen - i will so be using that! lol), a tea set, pjs, a purple robe, sweatsuit, some "much" needed socks, a little teddy bear pull along toy, her very first barbie - Mermaid Barbie, ... and amazingly, she received two really nice rocking chairs and two battery operated four wheelers from the grandparents:)
Here is a cute picture - Josh helping Tricia put on her boots - she cant quite bend over and do it herself. LOL
