DAY 1 - Leaving for Camanche (not sure if I spelt this correctly), Iowa
8/14 - Good start to our trip... Allie slept a good 2 hours, then woke up and was so silly (see pics below)... Oh and I have to say if you have a little baby that still drinks out of bottle, and you like to travel, get the Munchkin' brand Travel bottle warmer! It was great all you do is plug it into your
vehical were your phone charger goes and about 20 minutes her bottle was warm, to "her" liking. We just left it
pugged in the whole time (who wants to listen to a screaming baby for 20 minutes!)
These turned out a little blurry because of the bumps on the road and Allie moving like a little wild thing.
Allie is practicing her suckling skills (about 3 hours of practice with her pacifier!)...Almost to Grandpa Al and Grandma Mary's...
The trip only took us 51/2 hours...Here is Allie's uncle Charlie (Neil''s brother) holding her for the first time
DAY 3 - Had some visitors during the day and later Neil and I went to Camanche Days. There was a band and I expect Corn, but I didnt have any... It was alot of fun

DAY 4 - We went on the Mississippi River with a bunch of Neil's friends. The river is basically right behind Neil's parents' house... I thought that was
awesomeI sure am glad I
didn't see a picture of the huge Cat Fish Charlie caught (and I mean HUGE!), until the day after... there would have been no way I would have stepped foot in that water if I would have known that was in it!

Here most of us are on one of the many sandbars... good thing someone brought enough food for everyone! because Neil and I only had corn to eat before we went out, and Corn just doesn't cut-it, especially, when your out drinkin' in the hot sun
Day 5 - Some of Neils friends stopped in to meet Allison before we headed back home (Daydra and Erica -thanks for the, soon to be, much needed long sleeve onsie shirts... Oh and Allie cant wait to put that little cord dress on!)
The ride back looked like rain but it missed us the whole way home... Allie was really good again, she basically slept the whole way back, which made for a long night for me. I couldnt get her to go to sleep for nuthin'. Oh, well it was worth the trip, that's for sure! :) Cant wait to see everyone again
8/18/09 - As I am updating our blog, today, Allie is having a great time realizing that when she kicks her little feet against the jungle mat/toy , the dangling animals move! she is
justa cooing and kind of
hollering at it, too.

Her feet can just touch and she was just a movin' I was totally shocked by how well she held herself up
Here is my cousin and also good friend Kristi (our party host for the day too) - I made her pose to show-off her baby bump. She is almost 5 months prego.

Craig brought a TV outside so we could watch the Packer Game... Neil wasn't so interested (he is a Bears fan) so he asked kristi and Craig if they would open up their hot tub...
Craig, Eric, and Kristi took turns holding Allie so I could enjoy some hot tub time with Neil:)
